1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the OKAY mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

OKAY is a daily check-in application that allows users to confirm their well-being. Users can designate an emergency contact who will receive an automated text message if the user fails to check in within a configurable time period.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4. Account Registration

You may create an account using your email address, phone number, Google account, or Apple ID. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Emergency Contact Feature

The App allows you to designate an emergency contact from your phone contacts. By adding an emergency contact, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your designated contact will receive an SMS notification that they have been added as your emergency contact.
  • If you fail to check in within your configured threshold, an automated SMS alert will be sent to your emergency contact.
  • You have obtained consent from your emergency contact before adding them to the App.
  • Standard messaging rates may apply to SMS messages sent by the App.

6. No Guarantee of Safety

OKAY is not a medical device, emergency service, or substitute for professional monitoring. The App is provided as a convenience tool only. We do not guarantee that messages will be delivered successfully or in a timely manner. You should not rely solely on this App for emergency situations. Always call emergency services (e.g., 000 / 911) in the event of an actual emergency.

7. User Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date contact information.
  • Ensure your emergency contact's phone number is correct and able to receive SMS.
  • Use the App lawfully and not for any harmful purpose.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, and code in the App are the property of OKAY and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OKAY and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to failure to deliver notifications, loss of data, or any harm resulting from reliance on the App.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
